Dear Most Reverend:

I am writing to you as heartfelt as many that have written to you prior.  I will be brief.

Why, in a growing community, are two parishes within a few miles of each other being closed?  I am talking specifically about St. Jeremiah in North Framingham and St. Anselm in Sudbury.

I have only lived in this community for four years, but already I have witnessed an incredible growth of Catholics (in their late thirties, early forties like myself) migrating here to North Framingham.  We are raising our children later in life because most of us chose career paths in our twenties.  So yes the demographics have changed and the future generation will flood St. Jeremiah.  You will be amazed at how many young families attend mass with children who are currently five and under.  I believe the archdiocese must have old information.

I plead with you to reconsider the decision on the closing of St. Jeremiah Parish.  Please come visit us especially at our Mass at 10:15 on Sunday.  You will see the face and the future faces of St. Jeremiah’s Parish.

Respectfully,

Katherine A. McWilliams
